The Northwest District of the Missionary Church exists to serve Christ by building vital relationships, facilitating kingdom perspective, encouraging cooperative ministry and multiplying committed leadership in order to impact the Northwest and the world.
DISTRICT VISION AND FIVE-YEAR GOALS
Faced with a 21st- Century world, we believe the following to be true:
- John 3:16 – “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” There are more than 10.7 million non-believing people amongst the 13.2 million people in the Northwest District, more than 200 million non-believing people amongst the more than 300 million people in the USA, and more than 4 billion non-believing people amongst the more than 6 billion people in the world who need to believe in Jesus Christ.
- Romans 1:16 challenges us to be unashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for “it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes…”
- Acts 1:8 declares we are anointed by the Holy Spirit to be witnesses for Jesus Christ “in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- Matthew 28:18-20 declares that all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ. With this authority, he mandates us to “make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
- As part of the Missionary Church Incorporated, the Northwest District is pledged to “obedience to Jesus Christ her Lord,” and is committed to “being the holy people of God in the world, and to building His church by worldwide evangelism, discipleship, and multiplication of growing churches, all to the glory of God.”
Acting upon these beliefs, and with God’s guidance and help, we will diligently seek to accomplish the following, in the next five years:
- Calling the Northwest District to perpetual intercessory prayer.
- Renewing a passionate commitment to evangelize the lost and make disciples.
- Strengthening local churches.
- Planting new churches.
- Recruiting and developing catalytic leaders.
